The ACS880-M04 is an IP20 air-cooled drive module designed for controlling asynchronous induction motors, permanent magnet motors, and ABB synchronous reluctance motors. Customers must install the drive module into a cabinet.
The drive comes in various frame sizes based on the output power. All frame sizes use the same ZCU-type control unit.
Layout
Standard Layout
The DC input terminals are located at the top of the module, and the AC output terminals are located at the bottom of the module.
The ZCU-14 control unit is mounted on the module. This control unit includes basic I/O and optional I/O module slots. For a description of the I/O terminals on the control unit, please refer to the "Connecting the Control Unit" section (Page 87).
Other optional devices are primarily mounted on separate mounting plates.
The module is equipped with an external DC fuse.
Frame R1...R4 modules have an internal capacitor pre-charge circuit.
Tools Required for Drive Installation
The mechanical installation of the drive requires the following tools:
Electric drill with suitable drill bits
A screwdriver or wrench, along with a set of appropriate bits (depending on the mounting hardware used)
Tape measure and level
