The 21022-28-05-035-01 Dual Axial Probe Housing Assembly consists oftwo proximity probes installed in an externally mountedprotective enclosure. lt is intended for mounting on the end ofa machine nearest the thrust bearing to allow both probes toobserve the end ofthe shaft for axial thrust positionmovement.Theenclosure mounts on the machine caseusing four standard machine screws. The probes aremounted in sleeve/adapter assemblies, which are installeddirectly onto the machine case through two 3/4-in NPTthreaded holes.
The dual axial position housing meets the AmericanPetroleum institute's (APl) 670 Standard for axial thrustposition transducer housings. The external mounting allowsprobe adiustments from outside the machine, whileprotecting the proximity probes, probe leads, and extensioncables from dust,splashing liquid, or other environmentalfactors.Aremovable cover on the enclosure provides accessfor setting the probe gaps.
