The 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer system is intended foruse with centrifugal air compressors,refrigerationcompressors, process gas compressors, and other machineswith tight installation requirements. The 3300 XL NSv ProximityTransducer System consists of:
a 3300 NSv probe
a 3300 NSv extension cable
a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor
The primary uses for the 3300 XLNSv Transducer System arefor areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearviewrestrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. lt is also ideal forsmall target applications, such as measuring radial vibrationon shafts smaller than 5l mm(2 in) or axial position on flattargets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). lt is primarily used in thefollowing applications on fluid-filmed bearing machineswhere a small shaft or reduced side-view is present:
Radial vibration and radial position measurements
Axial (thrust) position measurements
Tachometer and zero speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor signals)
The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it toreplace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.Upgradesfrom the 3300 RAM system to the 3300 XL NSv system mayuse the existing probe, extension cable, and monitoring system with 3300 XL NSv ProximitorSensor.Upgrades from the 3000-series or7000-series Transducer System must replacethe probe, extension cable, and ProximitorSensor with NSv components.
The 3300 XL NSv Transducer system has anAverage scale Factor of 7.87 v/mm(200mV/mil),which is the most common output foreddy current transducers.its enhanced side-view and small target characteristics give it ashorter linear range than the Bently Nevada3300 XL-series 5 and 8 mm Transducer System.The 1.5 mm(60 mils) of linear range exceedsthe linear range of the 3000-series 190Transducer System.
