FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
330102-00-35-10-02-00 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe manufactured and designed by Bently Nevada as part of the 3300 Series used for machinery vibration monitoring systems. Proximity probes are widely used across industries such as oil and gas, power generation, water treatment, pulp and paper, and other industrial sectors. These devices are particularly critical in facilities like refineries, petrochemical plants, natural gas processing units, and power stations. Designed to monitor machinery with fluid-lubricated or fluid-film thrust bearings, proximity probes produce an output voltage corresponding to the gap between the probe tip and the monitored conductive surface. They are capable of capturing both static measurements, like position, and dynamic measurements, such as vibration. Their primary applications include tracking vibration and position in machines with fluid-film bearings, as well as providing Keyphasor signals and measuring rotational speed.
FUNCTIONS OF PROXIMITY PROBE:
The 3300 XL 8 mm system marks a notable advancement in eddy current proximity transducer technology. The standard 5-meter system complies entirely with the API 670 Standard (4th Edition), meeting stringent criteria for mechanical design, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability.
This system offers exceptional performance with full interchangeability across probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need for specific component matching or bench calibration. Additionally, its components are fully compatible with non-XL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer systems.
The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor introduces several improvements, including compatibility with high-density DIN-rail setups and traditional panel mounting using the same 4-hole footprint as earlier designs.
