The Velomitor CT velocity sensor is a low-frequency version of the standard Velomitor piezo-velocity sensor, specifically designed to measure the casing vibration velocity of cooling towers and air-cooled heat exchanger fan assemblies.
The Velomitor CT sensor can detect vibrations at these frequencies, as well as vibrations generated by the fan motor and gear reducer.
Additionally, it is important to install the accelerometer on the bearing housing or machine casing. Improper installation may reduce the sensor's amplitude and frequency response and/or generate incorrect signals that do not represent actual vibrations. Please refer to the corresponding user manual and application notes for proper installation guidelines.
