The connectors will "click" when tightened, ensuring a secure connection. These connectors feature a specially-engineered locking mechanism that prevents loosening, and no special tools are required for installation or removal. Additionally, the probe and extension cable benefit from improvements over previous designs, including a patented TipLoc* molding method that creates a more robust bond between the probe tip and body. The probe's cable also incorporates a patented CableLoc* design, providing 330 N (75 lbf) of pull strength to securely attach the probe cable and probe tip.
