The 990 Vibration Transmitter is specifically designed for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, or fans who need a straightforward 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control systems. This device is a 2-wire, loop-powered transmitter that accepts input from a 3300 NSv proximity probe* and its corresponding extension cable, which is available in 5 m and 7 m system length options.
The transmitter conditions the incoming signal from the proximity probe, converting it into the appropriate peak-to-peak vibration amplitude in engineering units. It then outputs this vibration data as a 4 to 20 mA proportional signal, which is the industry standard for connecting to machinery control systems. This setup enables efficient machinery protection, alarming, and logic functions, ensuring that equipment operates within safe vibration limits.
