The Proximitor/Seismic Monitor is a four-channel device that accepts input from proximity and seismic transducers. It conditions the signals to provide various vibration and position measurements, and compares these conditioned signals with user-programmable alarm setpoints for machinery protection.

Each channel typically conditions its input signal to generate various parameters, referred to as static values, depending on the configuration. Users can configure alert setpoints for each active static value and danger setpoints for any two of the active static values. The monitor continuously compares the monitored parameters against the configured alarm setpoints, triggering alarms when necessary. This provides essential machine information for both operations and maintenance personnel, ensuring reliable machinery protection.
