The 190501-08-99-00 Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. It is specifically designed to measure casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies operating at or above 90 rpm (typically 100 to 300 rpm). The Velomitor CT Transducer is capable of accurately measuring vibration amplitudes at these low frequencies, as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.
Installation Guidelines:
Ensure the accelerometer transducer is installed on the bearing housing or machine casing.
Improper installation may result in:
Reduced transducer amplitude and frequency response.
Generation of false signals that do not represent actual vibration.
