The 330750 and 330752 High Temperature Velomitor System features a sensor head and integral cable specifically designed for high-temperature environments. This system allows the sensor head to be mounted on surfaces with temperatures up to +400°C (+752°F).
To achieve this, the transducer design separates the sensing element from the signal conditioning electronics. These two components are permanently connected using an integrated cable, which eliminates the need for connectors—a common source of transducer failures. The integrated cable also allows the signal conditioning electronics to be positioned in a cooler location, as the internal electronics can withstand temperatures ranging from -55°C to +121°C (-67°F to +250°F).
This innovative design enables the collection of machinery performance data comparable to other Velomitor transducers, but in significantly higher-temperature environments.
For lower-temperature applications, the standard 330500 Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor is recommended. It is suitable for installation in locations with a maximum operating temperature of +121°C (+250°F).
