The Control Card, which resides in the Trusted™ Controller Chassis, serves as the ‘master’ interface between the Inter-Module Bus (IMB) within the Controller Chassis and the Expander Bus. The Expander Bus enables the connection of multiple chassis systems using UTP cables, while maintaining the fault-tolerant, high-bandwidth capabilities of the IMB. The module ensures fault containment for the Expander Bus, the module itself, and the IMB in the Controller Chassis, localizing any faults to prevent system-wide disruptions and maximizing system availability. It is designed with HIFT TMR architecture for enhanced fault tolerance, and includes comprehensive diagnostics, monitoring, and testing features that enable rapid fault identification and efficient troubleshooting.

The T9082U module is designed with fault containment capabilities for the Expander Bus, the module itself, and the IMB in the Controller Chassis. It ensures that faults are contained locally, preventing them from propagating through the system, which maximizes system uptime and availability.

The T9082U module employs HIFT TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) architecture, which ensures that the system remains fault-tolerant and highly available even in the event of a hardware failure.
